• Ensuring construction plans meet guidelines and specifications set by standards and regulations
• Preparing construction specifications, cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports
• Reviewing work performance and providing project status updates
• Assessing potential risks, materials requirements, and costs
Project Cost Estimating
• Estimating construction costs and reviewing associated bid documents
• Quantity take-offs of all labor, equipment, and materials
• Tender forms, generating requests for information, anticipating proposal requirements
• Bid document control by documenting, organizing, and archiving estimates
• Soliciting competitive pricing from subtrade partners and suppliers
• Establishing a critical path schedule for the estimate
